I'd much rather be fishing (lol)...Very nicely done, Milton. Congratulations on your winning placement. Charlie

Oh my goodness, wouldn't we all...especially those of us who have pitched hay!

Short and fast flowing, with a sprinkling of humour Milton. Congratulations on your podium finish. // paul

Great little poem of perspective Milt. In the winter I do love a good storm. However, that being said, after all of the traveling I have done I can't help but think of those flying in on an airplane!

Thanks for your comment, Sam. I'm not quite sure how it related to my poem, but I'll take it!

I only pitched hay once; the dust gets into your nostrils and ruins your day, so this makes sense.

Oh, it is just bone-tiring, back-breaking work. I don't envy anyone having to work in the fields in the Midwest during this heat wave.

If you've ever pitched hay in the middle of August, you know what I'm talking about. It's hot, sweaty, and miserable!!! Thanks for the visit, Gershon.

This is quite meaningful Milton. A beautiful day for most, except for the people who are working outdoors. I see a number of migrants working on installing roofs in 90 degree weather--not easy for some!

So true, Vijay. I don't know how they do it, except for drinking lots of water. 90 degree weather is not to work in. Thanks for your visit, your read, and your comments.
