A Fine Line

There is a fine line between insane and sane.
I know,
because I have walked that line,
many times before.
You stand there,
on the brink of the known and unknown.
You either decide to cross,
or decide to retreat.
And in most cases,
you are never even given that choice.

I have seen both sides.
I have gone so far insane,
that I became sane once again.
And been so sane,
that I circled back to insane.
It is a hard road to travel.
And no one should go it all alone.

My heart,
truly feels sympathy,
for all those who know,
who truly know,
what I am talking about.
