A Filthy Rich Baboon

At the drop of a hat, your life could change If you win the big jackpot of ten million You'd have all the things you've ever wished for And every day would be bright vermillion With money to burn the world would be yours You'd have nothing to hold you back You could live like a king, demand anything There'd be absolutely nothing you'd lack Do you think you'd be the same sweet person Or would money change who you are Wouldn't mind finding out to tell the truth Think I'd find the whole thing quite bizarre Like to think I'd remain the same person With both feet firmly planted on the ground But money can change a person's perspective And your whole life can turn upside down Sure like to know how money would affect me Would I become this financial tycoon It really could swing either way I imagine Could wind up just a filthy rich baboon © Jack Ellison 2015

Awesome one..I agree with you..like your clever rhymes here. "Like to think I'd remain the same person With both feet firmly planted on the ground But money can change a person's perspective And your whole life can turn upside down" Very true! I trust you wouldnt turn into a scary tyrant, but who knows? Always, Laura

It effects them. They become opininated, Distain those in lower incomes, become out of touch with what's important to others. They run around with others that are rich. My Grandfather was extremely rich, toured the world, Lived in Hawaii every winter, Lost touch with family, and listened to those who wanted his money. They worked to make us look stupid, if not rich. It was sad. We never ask for anything. I wanted a Grandfather. He treated us like gold diggers. We never were, & inherited nothing.

Rich people live in an expensive world. Ordinary people can't afford to visit them, and do expensive things with them. If you try and need their monetary help to do so... you will usually look money hungry. It's best to leave them to their friends. They're not baboons. But are different. To be sure.

Hey dear Carol!!! Thanks for declaring the winner in your contest! YEE HAW! First time I entered one! What an oh so sad relationship you had with your Grand Dad! Probably not uncommon though! Families aren't as close as they once were in this new age! Love ya dear lady... xxx

He was VERY rich. It was his life, his money. We couldn't contact him but thru a 3rd party who wanted us gone. All rich people aren't like this, but many are to varying degrees. When he died he wanted us there and said he was proud of us. He didn't want to die alone. I felt dirty for visiting him. Like he had snapped his finger & we had proved we'd come. It was too late to be family. He was a stranger. I' had mourned his loss years before.
