A Few Moment To Relax

On her front porch, enclosed by wooden railing,
She sits on a wooden high back cushion chair with a book on her lap.
A few moment to relax after her daily household tasks.
To escape into another world to walk through, she tries to read,
But feels the welcoming cool blanket breeze.
Silence of human sound, just the chiddik, chiddik of the tree sparrows,
The unfenced sweetness of nature around her home takes her away.
She finds herself thinking of someone,
Someone she loves,
Like she's done so many times before.
She tries to forget, that their world was altered forever
But
It just makes her ruminate of them the more.
A playful brown tabby kitten pouncing at her feet,
Brings her back,
Away from her thoughts.
