Notes About The Poem

Image result for picture of pecan trees in late fall A poem I wrote a very long time ago when I was in the truck waiting for my husband to do some business and there were some pecan trees close by.

A Few Lines

A cold northwesterly breeze Whips the nearly naked trees A few pecans still tip the top Unreachable by squirrels Even if they hop

As they are beyond the reach of squirrels, they stay. This happens many a time in my yard too. Some of my gauvas stay hidden among leaves , just because they are not within the sight of squirrels. Autumn at its peak is well presented.

I have never tried a guava fruit, Valsa. I would think those squirrels would be very disappointed that they could not reach those fruits though. Thank you for your time spent here reading and commenting. 👍⭐. Sara K.

Sara B., this one is from a long time ago. It is still hot here with temperatures equal to three digits with the humidity figured in but soon maybe in another week or two it is supposed to cool off about 10 degrees. I appreciate the visit nice comments. 👍⭐. Sara K.

This is a lovely poem that lightly captures the changing season and the determination of nature, Sara. The imagery of the breeze and the trees is vivid, and the playful note about the pecans adds charm. Well done!

I am delighted that you can picture it, Paul. It won't be long before the pecans will be falling on the ground if they are not gathered by human's to be sold. On those big farms of trees, they have harvesting machines. Your visit is just what I needed this morning. 👍⭐. Sara K.

This is adorable! Truly. I am so glad you wrote it and did eventually share it with us. What happened to you while waiting in the truck is the reason I try to keep pen and paper almost everywhere inspiration might come. It's very frustrating and rather sad when beautiful lines come only to then go, isn't it? CayCay

Yes, CayCay, I do lose some really nice lines when I can't get to a place where I can write them down. I know they are lost out there somewhere in Cogville. LOL.. Your visit is uplifting. Sara K.
