A Few Items
I miss you,
little dark splinter
rolled up by
the light that shines behind
my bad eye:
and when it snowed,
and when it rained-
into the sea
all you had to do was pick up and ride:
bare out the freeze.
I'm squatting homemade
mud paths;
It's all no good.
How can we not be helping you?
There's so much love for you.
So,
I can't stay
forever,
In blood ribbons-
I'll tug on,
worry and brave.
No tyranny
to the youth
still stuck
under my grubby nails.
Please,
Forgive me,
If I'm to lose
a few items.
