A Feline Poet

The muse
finally re-visited
the clever cat.

The clever feline
placed his claws
on the keyboard
and wrote a poem
about chasing
birds & string
and catching
a mouse or two.

He wrote
another poem
describing
vivid hallucinations
experienced while
under the influence
of catnip.

He read the poems
at a Zoom poetry meeting
and the participants were
amazed that a cat
could write and read poetry.

He meowed that writing
makes him purr
and "the inked claw
is mightier than the sword".
