I used to have a cage in my bedroom with two angels, and I called them doves, but they were not. This poem reminded me of that for some really odd reason. It is interesting how fast a poem can reawaken a memory long forgotten. Thank you!

Doves are lovely birds, I still miss mine, I had a pair of Senegal parrots, love birds ( pocket parrots ) cockatiels and Chinese painted quails, well written haiku Maureen. :))

Oh wow! Did I mention I fostered a parrot? Loud and sharp ;p but PERSONALITY! They take a particular personality type to own, much like a Border Collie ;) not for me. Thank you Roy! xomo

EXACTLY! I loathe alarms ;) they do make a lovely sound, the coo and an adorable chortle when excited. My first had an incessant nasal annoying whine, but he's calmed down, gone are the nights I should be asleep dragging his cage into another room ;p xomo!
