A Falling Leaf

A falling leaf, etched in gold Followed me this morning And as it floated to the earth, All the while adorning I remembered many reasons Of why I love the fall It’s the tapestry of color That I dote on most of all With hues approaching scarlet Golden ochre by its side A resplendent matrimony Will once again preside So with each leaf of umber Carried by a rustling breeze I relish nature’s beauty In its seasonal reprise
