A Face That Launched a Thousand Ships

A salad a day keeps the doctor away At least that's what I've always heard Well so far that's proven to be the case Doc visits have rarely occurred Unless my bean-o's the thing at question That's really quite a different matter Memory's not firing on every cylinder Thoughts are jumbled and scattered Give them my name if I ask for help What happens if I think I'm famous Offering my autograph to passers by Might think I'm an ignoramus People will ask if I've made any movies Or held some political office Not to my knowledge I'm sad to relate But my arabesque is really quite flawless Maybe I'm famous, just can't remember You can have my autograph in case Now I'm even starting to wonder myself In the movies, ever seen my face? © Jack Ellison 2015

Yes, you ARE famous, silly man. Here...I'll sing you a song: "Everyone considered him the coward of the county." Or "You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille." Or "Every gambler knows, the secret to surviving...is knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep" Or...."Lady, I'm your knight in shining armor and...I love you." Or "You Decorated my life." Or "And she believes in me...I'll never know just what she sees in me. I told her one day, if she was my girl, I would change the world...

Methinks you named every one of my (Kenny's) hits!!! LOL Did you know he started out as a member of a folk group called The First Edition way way back! I remember this because yours truly was a member of a folk group called The Canadiana Folksingers at the same time! MEMORIES! Love and hugs, Kenny xxx

Dragon and I have one thing in common. We both have a face that has launched 1000 ships. Unfortunately, they were all going away... Dragon loves to sign autographs and texts the papparazzi to keep them always around. Unfortunately, I'm just the extra standing around, to coordinate solving the latest Dragon problem, and to hand out ink pens to those wanting to write about him... But that's OK. I don't like pictures of me. Like remembering myself as still young. so when camaras come out... I flee!

I once had an autograph collection that numbered about 1200! Sold them for big dollars! How I got them was making sketches of famous people and sending them by mail, the original and a copy for the celebrity to keep, as thanks for signing! Got some very famous people to sign including 5 U.S. Presidents and the very famous Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart! xxx

LOL. Seems you're now in the advance stage! Now, don't expect me to tell you. As I was born later than you were, I wouldn't have seen you, would I?:D Still, you have my 7 smiles today, Jack. :D Kim
