A Droplet In Sea

My ego rising tall from lowly lay,
I often feel: world warms up to my song
And plays a second fiddle in my play,
I lead a vain orchestra all day long.
But evening twilight setting in, I brood,
Contemplate and begin at last to see
Me in misty shadowy solitude—
Oh, I'm no more than a droplet in sea.

The world's now bathed in radiance all new,
Beauty and bliss welling up from within,
And a window emerges with a view
That lets me see a world not before seen.
Man as a mere point in infinity,
  He’s looked as a faceless nonentity. ______________________________________________

Contemplate on existence of Human Race in COSMOS. A single persona holds a ridiculous trivial position.

Thanks Manishaji, yes, it is ignorance-induced ego. As they say, the more you know, the more you realize how ignorant you are. You're right.

Man a mere point is in infinity, And world looks at him as nonentity. .... A profound truth beautifully stated. And our ego's ride high as if we are God. Still the mind. You will see the truth.

'Still the mind, you will see the truth', ah almost a mahavakya, how profound! Yes, as Bhagavad-Gita said, the mind can be one's greatest friend and also a venomous foe. Thanks for visiting, and your feedback.
