A Dreamer’s Dream

A Dreamer’s Dream

In my dreams, my thoughts wove
a tapestry, and on silken wings, I
watched their vision take flight.
Off they went, defying obstacles and
shaping destines with a great force
of might.
They painted a picture of blue skies
with limitless possibilities to reach
great heights.
I saw in my dreams how to unlock
the chains preventing me from
enjoying the starlight.

In this magical sphere of dreamland,
I saw fairies dancing with daisies in
their hair,
And watched as they gracefully
waved their silver wands, spreading
stardust everywhere,
My thoughts were clear, as they
could distinguish between fantasy
and reality.
As I felt my heart and soul released
feelings of stress as they found
peace and tranquillity.

With my eyes closed, under the
moonlight, I bask at the end of my
day.
On weightless clouds, in my dreams,
I lay peacefully listening to what my
heartbeats say,
Sometimes, they say, with no
restraints, you can do as you please.
And sometimes they say you’re
lucky to see dreams such as these.

An enchanting read dear Zyrool. I love the imagery throughout its poetic lines that are well written, ‘ silken wings, fairies dancing with daisies, silver wands, weightless dreams’ - sounds like a heavenly dream to me. Love the last stanza especially. A real delight to read. Hoping we all have lots of lovely dreams. Blessings to you :):)

Hi Zyrool, I really like this poem. I've had some incredible dreams in my life. My favorite are when I realize that I'm dreaming. Once I acknowledge that, I've found I can control their outcome. Keep dreaming yourself and keep writing.

They say to pay attention to dreams.. "I saw in my dreams how to unlock the chains" is perhaps an answer to a question. I enjoy the whimsical fantasy of this verse.
