A Dream To Challenge
The ocean flows back and forth each day
Watching the tides flow is a pleasure
In hopes I find a buried treasure
Such an enjoyable time here without dismay
Mountains are the elders in existence
I want to conquer those majestic peaks
Fulfill my destination that my mind seeks
Journey fortified with determination and persistence.
Ocean deep and mountain high, I travel to touch
To set foot upon the shores and rocky ledges
Navigate all boundaries and cliff edges
Rewards for my endeavors will be twice as much.
Forces of nature do become adverse
Ragging waves and treacherous steeps
Perilous challenges that it keeps
One foot forward, not in reverse.
All of the world’s wonders I want to explore
When asked why I go that distance
It’s because challenges are there for instance
It fulfills my dreams I had to restore.
I ventured to reach the mountain tops
View is magnificent, a time with solitude
It’s my life’s achievement, I conclude
I ask myself is this where it stops?
