A Dream Imagined By Mlk
I hail here from the church with the flags -
Representation of a multicultural congregation,
A piece of heaven, heartbeat
of light and dark faces.
We praise in harmony with our Creator and angels,
In communion as we are meant to be,
multigenerational too.
We gather together loving one another, singing His songs,
Instructed in godliness every week and on our own
At home we bond with the Lord our God,
on our knees,
Hands spread wide, and meditate on God’s holy Word.
We share in sorrow and pain
with our fellow man
Along with joy and happiness
at each one’s gain.
My favorite part, I listen with a tear’s sheen and with a smile
Let freedom ring, a dream come true.
God’s wings spread wide.
Heaven sighs.
