A Dream For Maureen

A Dream For Maureen

saw her peeking hesitantly
through the window
shaped as a page yellowed
with age and scented of violets
and forget me nots, a posey
once given shyly
and received with love.
I reached toward her
she stepped gingerly into
my world of words and wishes
for a long spring afternoon.

I have to say that this is all very nice, Patricia; and I agree with Victor...I wish I could write a little more like your good self also - beautiful little tribute!! My very warmest wishes! :) john P.s I suspected you might be up all night...no wonder you are feeling grumpy. Chuckles! :)

Yes I am too old for all nighters. My sister was in her studio painting so I just kept on writing. Thank you for your kind words.

Patricia, tears in my coffee this morning, Your words have turned my own into little birds, flashes of colour flying away just when close enough to touch. Thank you dear poetess, a precious gift.
