Notes About The Poem

Eve Roper's Fantasy World poetry contest     TooLate!

             painting by Eve Roper

A Dragonfly And Fairy Fantasy

Once up on a giant sunflower,
A pink fairy lost her way in grand green fields
She sat alone for what seemed hours
When out of nowhere a blue dragonfly yields
Will you come and sit with me before you go?
The dragonfly stayed and sang a lovely lullaby
Follow the riverbed, listen to the water flow
The way to anywhere whispered the wise dragonfly

Ah, Ty Jay! I'm new at nursery rhymes, yet I have written a few for Eve Roper's contests. Her books and book covers like the painting (Eve's) you see above are so beautiful. xhugs

Anaya, a beautiful poem with a wonderful message. Sometimes, we need to let things come to us. Not everything is obvious in the short term. The most remarkable realizations sometimes come when we least expect them. Smiles!!

What a beautiful thought, my dear poet. Happiness isn't where we look for it, it's where we find it. Keep smiling my friend. Ty :):)

This is so beautiful dear anaya, i love how it reads like an engaging story, so poetic too with excellent rhymes. The opening drew me in and it just totally fits the picture prompt too, i especially loved “ Will you come and sit with me before you go? The dragonfly stayed and sang a lovely lullaby ” how soul warming is that! Just stunning and heartfelt made me dream away too! Pleasure always reading you, sending you light always . Happy holidays to you and your family
