A Dog On a Night Like This

My dog’s in the corner, her head is hung low
She fears all the sound coming through the window
The lightning and thunder, they scare her too much
That I must go to her now and offer a touch
She cries in the dark when the storms come around
I guess it’s the lights and all of the sound
She’s just like a baby, but hairy, yet cute
She’s my German shepherd and she is a beaut

I can relate to this poem. My dog Murphy goes from room to room when he hears thunder or fireworks. but your dog is a German shepherd that is really funny. but very sweet dog she sounds. i love that breed so pretty. a great poem

Our last golden retriever had to be tranquilzed whenever a big storm came through! Poor thing! The golden lab we have now doesn't even wake up to notice....maybe just opens one eye and goes back to sleep!! Your German shepherd sure reminds me of old Shiloh...God love them all! Carrie
