A Divers Prayer
I hope people will open their eyes
Open them to what I'm saying
Listen to what the minority are saying.
I pray they stop pushing us away
That they start listening to what we have to say.
I pray to God above
For support and encouragement
To continue to do what I am doing.
I pray that they won't see us as environmentalists
As people who need to be shut away
But that we are people who want people to wake up
Wake up from their states of hypnosis
Look and see what we are doing is destructive.
I pray they see it before it's too late.
But will my prayers be heard?
Or will everyone go about their lives
Hypnotized and zombie-like
To the world around them.
