A Distant Thought

I saw you, little one, resting in profound sleep
Could hear the tick-tock, and your gentle breathing
And I felt sorry in the lonely, late hours of a silent night
And I wished I could sleep, at least if I could try!

All I knew are gone for too long, a day,
A stunning, vivid theme of a select story of May.
The last thing I realized, I was dying for a good dream,
Hopeful faith in a continuous string with a very losing grip.

O, flying birds, flying high on that vast, blue sky
I simply longed for the miracle of a magical moment …
Of your safe return, return from a long, adventurous trip
A smile before an immaculate death of a storyteller stranger!
