A Different Sun
A Different Sun
If you would take my hand
Feel those fingers
In safety entwined
Trust yourself palm to palm
And take with me
The first step out
Into a different sun
I won’t let go
I will even hold you
Watch out for you
As the unwrapping of those blindfolds
Fall from the eyes of your soul
No I won’t let go
If you let me
I will lead you
Out into a strange new sky
And into a different sun
I know you feel weak
And living so in fear
Scared of all the emptiness
Of all those hidden cracks
Might reappear
No; I won’t let go
If you let me show you
How those wounded and broken wings
Can learn to fly again
Out into a different sky
And under a strange new sun
That always shines
If you would take my hand
I promise
I won’t let go
Come and stand
Strong and proud
Reborn again
Within the blessings of a different sun
No; I won’t let go
