A Difference

Somethings different. A casual hello evolved into the exchange of powerful words through cocky tongues. An instant connection only equated by magnets and metals. Children to candy, so sweet. We share confused smiles, Temporarily distracted by the akward pauses. Time enough to reflect back upon the smiles we just shared. I stumble gracefully into her mind, Beautifully guarded. As I stand outside peeking in I contemplate if her inner beauty matches that of her exterior. Only time could allow my peaceful entrance. So I prioritize. Finally I jump back into myself through her eyes. Only to realize I didn’t miss a thing but myself. Her smile remained as she did, We did, Until nights end where our casual hello turned to a tight clenched goodbye. She let me borrow one more smile, And I tucked it away quickly in the pockets of my mind to refer back to on later dates. Same old me, Same old her, But somethings different.
