A Deep Peace Interrupted

It was a cool Winter's day
A gray bird was chirping on my right
sitting high above, perched on an electric line
In front of me, palm trees were moving with the breeze
A morning dove was calling to my left
lost in the branches of an oak tree
The day felt serene; it felt gentle
A nice day to enjoy nature and reflect
Then, in this perfect moment of bliss
My soul was cracked. It was fractured,
by the sound of a car horn that broke the serenity
I will never feel this particular moment again
I got up from my porch and went inside

Sounds like your day started off heavenly. The sound of a car horn can be loud. Blessings as you write away..............

oh my....I don't like when a peaceful, soulful moment is rudely disrupted. Well penned.

Yes, these things happen! Circumstances change our peace and frame of mind. God bless, Frederick!
