A Deep Breath
Today I awaken from hours of blissful sleep
No dreams no nightmares from that world not one peep
Finally my mind took a breath one so deep
You can't even imagine how this feels to me.
Days on in this brain turns every situation
Into tragedy or complete devastation
Flipping spinning analyzing every conversation
Looking for his entrance in every equation
Knowing he's somewhere waiting for me
Watching lurking wondering how this could be
I have made it further than the others in reality
Still he's smiling knowing he wins eventually
No one cheats death
I hurt everywhere
Each muscle each hair
I hurt over here
And I hurt over there
My body keeping up with a mind half mad
Only allows feelings that are bad
Exhaustion and aches are mostly what's had
