A Day To Myself

a day to myself
and i will be enjoying this quiet right here
undisciplined child one is at a slumber party
undisciplined child two went with Lady Love to an out of town seminar
undisciplined child three is spending the night with Cool Grandma Drew
i smile at my lack of productive plans today
the remote in my left hand
a bowl of chewy chocolate chip cookies waiting for my right hand
a carton of ice cold flav o rich cooling even more in the freezer
freshness from their family to ME!
i think i am in the mood for old episodes of season one of dennis the menace
i may follow that up with early episodes of the incredible hulk
i just may intentionally fall asleep since all phones and computers and alternative devices are shut completely off
inhale with a bright smile
exhale with an even brighter smile
a day to myself
DAMN RIGHT I DESERVE IT!
