A Day In the Life of My Work

The idea Is my alarm.
Inspiration is my coffee.
The thoughts are my morning commute.
The story is my work.
The pen is my voice.
The paper is my argument.
Imagination is my lunch break.
The plot is my boss.
The characters are my conversation.
The love is my relaxation.
The edits are my overtime.
The silence is my ride home.

The day may be over but
I am a writer. And my work is never done.

So, so very true - I guess this is free verse. I enjoyed it and invite you to read one of my first posts, "Rhetoric Lost Cost", or some such name - please give it a go because I'm sure you will relate ... CayCay
