A Day In May
Sand ruffles beneath creaming tide
where seaweed bouquets softly glide;
searching for crabs, sandpipers prance
in crystal pools where sunbeams dance.
Suspended somewhere outside time
this springtime taste of life sublime
stretched out upon the sandy shore
just watching cloud kites dip and soar.
