A Day I'Ll Never Forget

I was young and drinking, so I thought I'd be cool
And jump my minibike off a ledge where we used to have a pool
With a smile on my face I gave it some gas
Little did I know this jump would be my last
Upon landing I headbutted the handlebars and knocked myself out
My friends rolled around laughing, thinking I was probably passed out
They took me in the house and laid me in a bed
Little did they know, that I soon would be dead
My soul left my body into a light tunnel it went
Reaching the other side I was unsure where I was sent
Into a world of beauty, with my worries all left behind
Standing there without a care was the most pleasing thing for my mind
Then I was told "it's not your time, back into your body you must go"
Into the lights and into my body, then I sat straight up yelling Noooo!!!
That was the last word I said before being sent back
Thankfully given a second chance to get my life back on track

Wow....talk about a leap of faith...to have fun. What a gift you have been given - a second chance of life! It's unique and special. But you already know that - Hugs Shaz
