A D
Why is it every other birth,
The untold millions on this Earth
Will not go down in History,
Like His? It is a mystery.
This Child of crude, humble beginnings
Fated to die for mankind’s sinnings,
Was crucified, though He did no crime,
Yet important enough to change all time.
AD, Anno Domini, “Year of our Lord”
Jesus the Babe that Mary adored,
Without a single dress rehearsal
Started a brand new time reversal.
Before Christ, time runs backward,
Since His birth it’s running forward.
Out with the old and in with the new.
Jesus bought new time for you.
There are some folks so Christ resistant.
“He didn’t live,” they are insistent.
That is a foolish thing to say
When they’re using His time every day.
