{So}you think I'm cold and distant.
You're right...
but sometimes life sprinkles ice
on the fabric of the heart
It takes time to thaw
perhaps a life time.. you know...
and if it does
there's always storm clouds
forming just above the hearth
waiting to smack the spirit with
thick darkness.
what's your role in all this
to lend a quilt-offer ember
or lend yet another winter cloud
waiting to unload its cup of ice.
