A Cry Still Heard

There's a cry that's just not right..
Like distant wind chimes in the night..
It carries weight that can't measured..
Only sadness from pain not pleasure..
When a walk fell to a crawl..
It brought tears that wouldn't fall..
Now the landscape blocks the sound..
And brings in days that will soon be found..
Only now the cries fade out..
And rhymes of this Poet clearly shout..

Like the comparison of the cry to "wind chimes," and the way the pain the produced it can't be measured. Compelling poem, Michael, and a great example for your contest. Love, Carolyn

I really like this Michael. It reminds me of the verse in the Bible about the voice crying ot in the wilderness. That voice, of course was John The Baptist. Great job here. Should be an interesting contest. God Bless, JB

Enjoyed reading this one..The contest reads like a challenge..Maybe I will be able to do one..Time is pressing now..Thanks for the comments on my nonsensical word entry..It is about Princess our Chihuahua puppy..When I got her, her tail had been broken from some boys throwing rocks at her..She started chewing her tail..I carried her to vet twice..They said that the only thing was to dock the tail above the damaged area..When the vet got in there they had to leave only one inch..Sara
