A Cross To Bear

We all have our cross to bear,
But none as great as he.
For on his bloodied shoulders,
He bore humanity.

As he was being crucified,
As the nails were driven in,
As Jesus suffered on the cross,
It freed us of our sins.

The lamb of God was sacrificed,
So we may see the light.
So we may walk the path to God,
Delivered, from the night.

A very nicely conveyed description of Christ's ultimate sacrifice, Gary. With many outstanding entries, judging was difficult (again). Congratulations on your win! And thank you for supporting the contest. Best wishes, Carolyn
