A Country In Turmoil

A country in turmoil I watched frantically as The world’s peace seems to Be slipping away As the coronavirus rages on Trying to connect itself with Everyone in its path and There seems to be no cure Nor end in sight, only toleration From hurricanes to tornados Killing and destroying everything In its path From snowstorms, bringing Record snow and cold temperature To our states To our government who’s bickering And fighting among each other Locked in a power struggle and Not agreeing on anything that’s Going to help the people Especially the seniors There are also unforeseen fires That tear through our cities Wiping out all in its path Afterwards, it looks like Something from a horror movie Even displacing the precious animals Taking them away from their Natural habitat, leaving them homeless Now I’m wondering, what’s next
