Congress leaves me worn and at times acerbic,
Their unfettered activity runs wild and free.
It seems to the truth most have become allergic,
Finding no common ground in which they agree.
They believe it’s irresponsible if laws aren’t passing,
And taxing the working, the name of the game;
Each yearly budget will be last year’s surpassing,
While finger pointing and placing unjust blame;
They invest in securities like an inside trader,
Uncovering knowledge of preferred stock shares;
Their lifestyle resembles some corporate raider,
Finding each year more became millionaires.
Their primary concern slants to the status quo,
Helping the slothful thus perpetuating dependency;
The slothful has an addiction to untaxed dough,
When this state occurs ruination is the tendency.
