A Clock That Stops Swinging
A Clock That Stops Swinging
Noisy world
Silent;
Walking clock
Shut down;
Modern civilization
Closed.
He was in rags
Standing at the gate of the building
Identifying each pedestrian
Searching for old acquaintance
Wake up memories of the past.
An elderly man is walking
Stumble along
He ran forward,
Hold him,
Step by step back to his home.
A mother is walking laboriously
with a baby in her arms
He ran forward,
Shared the weight in her hand
Send her to her home door.
A man seems like a former friend
Coming at a brisk pace
He came forward
Said hello to him
Tell the joy after being apart a long time.
Hot summer days
The sun shines on his face
He was still watching at
Neighborhood access;
Cold winter days
The wind is bone-chilling
Not stop his wandering footsteps.
Time clock
Walking his feet up
Meet his neighbors
Offer his smiling day by day
Show them the way
With a gentleman's gesture
By cold hands
Help those who need help
His clock
Stop at the years of passion;
His footsteps
Walking in the world of yesterday
His eyes
Not recognize
What is modern civilization.
