A Clever Lever

With my pen as lever
     I can be clever
  Though deep down
    my heart’s torn apart

I wear a smile on my face
    write lines filled with mirth
  Do whatever it takes
    to survive on this earth

I sometimes feel like I'm pretending, at least until the world's ending :)

I know that I'm pretending -- to be a poet. Ain't gonna make it. Like most things in life, I'm good at it, but not good enough. Story of me: Jack of all trades; master of none. Oh, well...
