A Christmas With a Message
The world, in a messy state,
all are smeared with hate.
Eerie stench chokes the air
as death looms in the lair.
Black clouds creep hearts out.
All crave a life that is fair,
a world free from scare;
find none, for hell is messy.
We'll find if, by God's mercy,
grace leads us to the manger
where a smile warms the winter;
the newborn bids us enter
his rest—a nest of pure love—
stripped of fighting glove.
Christ's birth drizzles down
a Happy Christmas message,
far from being a presage,
but promise of a good life,
richer than present strife:
assured of personal space.
