A Christmas Gift

On Christmas week when all are shopping and on the run...
I visit a hospital where children are sick and have few smiles or none...
No one knows from my family to my friends ,only you on Soup I share this deed...
Some of the children may have only a year or two here, while we shop with greed...
Never once have I shown my face, just tell them Santa came to this special place...
I don't want thank you's or my name in lights, I just want to know that some of their
faces I made bright..
We all sometimes take for granted for what we have and what we do, but it makes me
feel good if just for a while that I helped them too...

Oh, that was so kind of you to offer these sick children some joy over the holidays. Some people brag about doing such things, but I would expect you to keep this kind act to yourself. I know Francine will love this one as much as I do! Love, Carolyn
