A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

Our minds and brains must be microscopic
Allowing things to happen that are catastrophic
Which cause so much sorrow, suffering and pain
While world and lives become filled with bloodstain.

What is it that will stand and stay in the way?
Destruction and destroying put on display
And to think, other way they want us to look
Just sit there still reading our Bible Book.

God said let actions speak louder than each word
And also to you has it often ever really occurred
Blessed be a person by actions that they take
Not make many excuses causing hearts to break.

James Serious Mysterious Horn

PS. Instead of all our lives being imperil
Could someone sing us a Christmas Carol?

I just love the Xmas carol (with Scrooge) and its message, which you are somewhat telling here in your poem as well. Fun ending couplet. If we all sang a Christmas carol each day, maybe we would be better people! Also you chose to use one of my favorite expressions: Actions speak louder than words.

My wife thinks that all of my poems are terrible. I am glad that I finally have found some people who like and enjoy them just like I like and enjoy writing them. Jim
