A Childs Silent Inflictions
A wafting thunder down deep with lost fragments of heart
Ponderous and measuring, abandoned deep in the dark
Nourishment degraded decaying love forever lost
Damaged limb from limb life’s lonely bitter cost
Taken by chase, a dragon’s breath allure
Once innocent and sweet but no longer pure
Absent loyalty unseats, the flame now takes hold
This deadly flash of the tail, presently big and so bold
Knowledge and wisdom now consumed by the beast
A child yearning for freedom and life’s final feast
Overlooked and neglected this youth now confined
Silently lost in the shuffle, a writ left unsigned
