Absolutely, children and puppies have so much in common. They both pay attention to their intuition, more than us adults do. It's been said that, "Animals and children are the best judges of character." I believe they are; if a child avoids someone they've just met; it's important to pay close attention; animals act similarly around some people. If you know the person long enough and watch closely, you'll see why.

Our dog is a bit different; she is frightened of all new people - and I mean ALL new people -but two seconds after we accept them, she is perched on their shoulder or sitting in their lap, licking their face. No judge at all, which I believe is totally abnormal as I have had lots of other dogs.
