A Childhood Friendship

In my walk of life
I meet an angel who carried me through my childhood foot path
He embraced me; cherish me even called me his friend
He taught me simplicity and showed me the world
For every season, he gave me a garden
Filled with twelve dancing rose
Like dew drops petals falling onto the garden floor
Filling each of my seasons with kindness and love
Patience and humanity
Joy and peace
Understanding and reasoning
Forgiveness and warmth,
Sincerity and loyalty is all that, the angel knew I needed.

What a great friend you have, Patricia! To learn so much from a friend speaks highly of their love and wisdom. I, too, feel I am blessed with "the world's greatest friend," and it brings me comfort even in the face of pain and adversity. Great poem! Love, Carolyn
