Everyone should consider his body as a priceless gift from one whom he loves above all, a marvelous work of art, of indescribable beauty, and mystery beyond human conception, and so delicate that a word, a breath, a look, nay, a thought may injure it. ~Nikola Tesla

A Child of Light

a solivagant by nature
the need for acceptance grew
hot tears pooled
a phenomenal resilience
affording solace to others
impressive psyche tooled
esperance is the driving force
behind your enigmatic smile
in hiding betrayal you’re well schooled

I think that you would do well in this as you are a natural when it comes to rhyme and using poetic devices imaginatively, Andrea. :)

Hi Paige, This is an actual painting of my daughter - done by a friend. Most (not all) other pictures that appear with my poetry, were done together with a website initiative - training AI since Nov 2022 to "paint". My specific prompts are _ AI art. :)

Dear Suzette, your poem beautifully captures the journey of a resilient soul who journeys through life seeking acceptance yet finds strength in solitude. The image of “esperance” as the driving force behind that enigmatic smile is powerful, Love the painting ...Hugs
