Notes About The Poem

A CHILD IS BORN

A child is born,

Hope's flickering flame revives

Humanity rejoices

Good and Evil claim their share!

Prophetic indeed! Thanks for the read! I can't decide which movie about your country, is my favorite. On one hand, I loved Captain Corelli's Mandolin, but The Guns of Navarone, is a spectacular rendition of the beauty of your culture and people. What a strong, proud nation. To endure what you and your ancestors had to, makes me ashamed of the current conditions in my own back yard. I hear the food's pretty good, too. Shine on Brother!

A joyous occasion Demetrios, most parents do their best for their children but sadly when they're older some choose the path of evil despite a decent upbringing from their parents. Evil and temptation lurks everywhere. Hope your week is going well. Tom 🕊️

I am in full agreement 🤝 my dearest Tom. My little poem has just that in mind. When little they are innocent and inoffensive but when they grow in this world they might take the wrong turn. Thank you. Be blessed 🙌 😇

So true! A baby is born with angel wings, but as it grows older, it has to face Good and Evil. We cannot do otherwise because within us the battle between the two adversaries never ends. Thank you so much for your lovely visit! Hugs, my gracious friend, Anne-Lise 😍
