A Change of Seasons

The air
         becomes
frigid
and as dawn
breaks
        over

the
            city
the thousand and one
                        creeds
vanish into
     silence
      flakes of snow
fall lightly
           on the trees
on the
      crowds
as they head home
Perhaps you'll find
              what you're
               looking for
in this
       festive
season
        the whirling

snowflakes
            cover the asphalt
homeland
             in
               white
"all the world's a
stage" as the bard said
     but the actors
 slow down
          and hibernate
come winter
