A Challenge To Be Free Is a Question of Time

A Challenge To Be Free Is A Question Of Time

Through the pouring rain we must explain
Brocken glass on the pavement floor
Lest I implore a day before
The twilight sun has tainted my inner vision
I'm just one man set out on a mission
How you fought so very hard & fierce
My one truest love is now gone from here
A challenge to be free is a question of time
My one solution is to be wise & use my mind
Living on the edge and it's going to my head
Sitting up at night all alone in bed
We are all given one chance to take part in the dance
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning plough
A lone blade of grass out there stirring in the wind
Lines are being formed in the sand to what were sitting in
As a caged mouse is stuck in it's crazy little maze
You wake up late in some purple haze
A heart is an opened book for one to read it
The love that beckons it's grasp in which to receive it
Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child choose the day
A solemn time well spent in which to bow the knee to pray
A challenge to be free is a question of time
That's it for my pen & so is this rhyme.
