Inspired  after witnessing the Leonids meteror display with my son in 2001.

Before the dawn had spread her early morning light Stars fell from heaven, like rockets in the night. Flashing beacons on the horizon of the sea, Quietly performing, just for you and me.

Hi Paulette. I enjoyed this as I never miss a meteor shower (except when it's cloudy) and love to look and photograph them. Here's a link to a poem and pic from the Southern Delta Aquarids recently. https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/summer_sky_tableau_1337284 I missed the Leonids in 2001, which, as I recall, are better described as a meteor "storm." In 1833 and 1966, thousands of Leonids fell every minute (and some people panicked thinking the sky was falling).

Oh yes, somewhat of a terse writ yet fully engaging, Paulette. Intrigue will set my pen to being effective soon, Aloha!
