Wait,
what is that?
Quite a strange
bewildering sound,
I initially thought
my car alarm
was going off.
How can that be?
I sauntered outside
to investigate.
It turns out I was
pleasantly fooled.
It was just...
a canary
perched on a tree
nearby,
rattling off
a dulcet fury
of songs.
So charmed
and entertained
was I!
I stayed out,
actively listening...
until it flew
away!
