A Canada's Day Celebration

Today is Canada's Day
   It is a celebration
   Of our 150th birthday
   Everyone celebrates

   It is a street party
   Closed to the traffic
   A party for people that
        live here
   We will be wearing 

    Our colours red and white
    The colours of Canada
     We will have food and drinks
      Dance until fireworks begin

       Then watch the fireworks 
        Light up the dark sky
         Watching the different colours
          Popping up into the sky

           With the brilliant colours
            Appearing one by one
             Until they are gone
              To send into the sky
