A Call For Peace

Where is peace when you arm for war,
each generation that builds?
The lives of the sons and daughters,
the cost of the killing fields.

A light in the widows' window,
the father not coming home.
killed in the last forgotten war,
his spirit still out alone.

The children sleeping in their beds,
and their dreams soon take to flight.
Shadows will fade as time forgives,
like the dawn forgives the night!
