A Bucket List Rewritten

To climb a mountain, but I ran out of steam
Sat down on a boulder to wait for the team

To learn to ski, but that did not go well
Cracked my tail bone when down I fell

To learn to dance, in my youth t’was grand
Now with bad feet I am lucky to stand

Think I'll make a new list of things I can do...

A smile for a stranger
A helping hand for a friend
Empathy for those in pain
A sad heart to mend...

Reading your poems and sharing mine with you.

I love the humour in your old list and as for your new list Betty - and these things cost nothing but mean so much to other people:-) hugs Jan xx
